The Crowd Pleaser

Get ready to make a splash at your holiday gatherings with a sensational, crowd-pleasing smoked fish appetizer, smoked salmon cucumber bites! These smoked salmon noshes are like a school of flavor swam into the party, lending a light and refreshing taste to every occasion. We have included “simple” and “zhuzh” versions of this recipe depending on your preference and ingredients on hand.

Directions

Whip the cream cheese (for zhuzh, include lemon juice, half of the chopped shallot, and half of the chopped chives).

Spread some of whipped cream cheese mixture on top of each cucumber slice. Top each cucumber and cream cheese bite with a piece of smoked salmon. If zhuzhed, garnish with the dill, capers, fresh cracked black pepper, and the rest of the chopped chives and chopped shallot.

Leftovers can be refrigerated covered tightly in plastic or foil wrap for up to 2 days.
