Peppered Smoked Salmon Cacio e Pepe

This simple, flavorful pasta gives the Roman classic a smoky, pepper-forward twist. Featuring Acme Peppered Smoked Salmon, the dish pairs delicate spaghetti with a creamy Pecorino sauce and plenty of freshly cracked black pepper for a bold, satisfying bite.

The peppered smoked salmon adds a rich, savory depth that balances beautifully with the cheese’s sharpness and the pepper’s gentle heat. Flaked pieces of smoked salmon bring tender texture and smoky flavor to every forkful, while a final garnish of fresh basil brightens the dish. Perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or a last-minute date night at home, it’s proof that great meals don’t need to be complicated, just crafted with care.

Directions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Add spaghetti, stir and boil for 9-11 minutes or until al dente.

Drain pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.

In a small bowl combine grated cheese and 3 tablespoons of the reserved pasta water until a paste forms.

Heat a large sauté pan over low heat and lightly toast the black pepper.

Add the cooked pasta, pasta water, and cheese paste and stir until water and cheese paste are emulsified.

Top pasta with salmon. Garnish with basil.

Serve and enjoy!
