I bought three products that day: nova lox, David Burke's pastrami cured lox and the "spicy" smoked ahi tuna. The nova was exquisite! The pastrami lox was delightful.. The spicy tuna was over-salted, not spicy at all, not notably smoky and had an unpleasant, mealy texture. It was, simply, bad.
To illustrate, I had to restrain myself from eating the whole 8 oz of nova at one sitting, and two of us had to control ourselves to not devour the pound of pastrami lox all at once. In contrast, with two people we barely got through HALF of the 8 oz tuna and left the rest. I'd brought it as a special treat for brunch with a friend and was embarrassed.
I hope that it was just a bad lot, but unless I knew that the product had been re-worked I wouldn't buy it again.

Tastes better than salmon imho
This was unexpectedly spicy—way too hot for my kids! I personally loved it, though. It has a Korean-style kick. It's a shame that the strong, intense spices overwhelmed the tuna's natural flavor, as I couldn't really taste the fish. A must-try for spice lovers!!
