This item is WAY TOO SALTY. It was not possible to eat. I had to discard it.
I love Sablefish. Also known as butterfish, it's a fatty, creamy fish. The light, smoky taste goes well with it and it's pre sliced and deboned. Sablefish IS creamy so it can be hard to cut/present if you're not eating it like a seagull on the counter. This is great for presentation at holidays. Mine did have some miniscule bones in it but that comes with the territory. Very good addition to the line up.
You may think this is funny, but when I open the package, there was a very big fishy smell. That is not there when I open lox. Disable tasted good, but the fishy smell permeated the area.
Hard to remove intact from a packaging but would buy again. Easier than slicing fish myself
