Facts about Green Tea Extract

Here at Acme, producing the finest and freshest smoked fish products is more than our steadfast commitment to you; it is an ongoing challenge to ourselves to redefine the best practices in the industry, practices we have helped establish and refine throughout our four generations in business. We are pleased to announce a pioneering production enhancement, developed as part of our Quality Assurance Program, the introduction of two new all-natural treatments to our cold smoked salmon product lines.

Effective immediately, Our Acme's Original smoked salmon packages, including 4oz, 8oz, and 16oz,  will be treated with Green Tea Extract and Nisin, two all-natural preservatives that together are designed to enhance and protect the flavor and freshness of our products. 

In short, the addition of Green Tea Extract will:

• Improve the freshness of our cold smoked salmon products upon delivery and opening of packaging

• Preserve the natural coloring of these products upon delivery and opening of packaging

• Together with the addition of Nisin, elevate our industry-leading product integrity standards by creating a new level of anti-microbial protection.

Additionally, according to The University of Maryland Medical Center Green Tea can potentially deliver multiple health benefits to its consumers, among them lower cholesterol, a slowing of arthritis, the prevention of cancer cell growth and assistance with weight loss and control. Nisin, meanwhile, has been used around the world as a premium natural preservative following its commercial introduction in the United Kingdom over thirty years ago. It is produced by a selective few ingredient makers and due to its expense is reserved for use in only the finest foods. Acme has pioneered the use of Green Tea Extract and Nisin in cold smoked salmon products.

What these new ingredients will not change is the superior flavors of our cold smoked salmon brands, flavors that helped establish Acme as one of the most widely respected smoked fish producers in North America and the largest single plant fish smokehouse in the United States. Nor will you experience any new costs associated with these additions.
